History Born into a middle class family, Gavin worked his way up the chain of command in the county sheriff's department, becoming known for his quick thinking and persistent takedowns in high-profile cases. But, with the coming of a new king suspected of corruption, Gavin was ordered to resign from his position. When he refused, his resignation was announced for him by the king himself, taking place only two months after the announcement. But it was clear that he was not alone in his thinking, many others rallied in secret to depose the new leader, and Gavin agreed to assist. When the time came, the force stormed the palace, killing the king in chaos. With the rebellion victorious, Gavin had seemed to have ensured his position, yet, when he was denied access to the station the next day, it had been made clear he was used as nothing more than a pawn in a larger game. Devastated by the loss of his career, Gavin sought refuge among those who were to go to the new land, despite the suspicions and rumors surrounding it, to ensure law and order in the new land.
